More information:
The product is GreenTag GreenRate Level A Certified under Scheme A6.
The scope of the certification includes the following ranges: EMPREINTE, COSMOS, ALLURE, ECUME, MIRAGE, ELEGANCE, BOREAL
The product contains Diazene-1, 2-dicarboxamide[C,C'-azodi(formamide)] (ADCA) (CAS: 123-77-3).
ADCA is used as a blowing agent in flooring products. This ingredient is on the candidate list of the substance with very high concern. This chemical ingredient has respiratory-sensitizing properties, which lead to the development of asthma among workers who come into contact with it.
In use, the substance poses no risk of exposure to the end-user because ADCA is decomposed by the heating process and generates nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ammonium, and hydrogen. After heating, ADCA is transformed into gases and is no more found in the end product. The final product is tested using HPLC, and the result shows that ADCA concentration is below 100 PPM.
During the manufacturing stage, the risk of exposure to the worker is low. The subcontractor working with this substance has a regular health and safety audit, and an audit report has been provided and reviewed. The ADCA is also mixed into the PVC in an industrial and controlled context.
This product is available is Australia, New Zealand, USA, China, Malaysia, and South Africa.
