Desso's SoundMaster® Modular Carpet, Solution, Piece and Space Dyed are manufactured from PA 6 and 6.6 yarn. Desso SoundMaster®'s application include, schools, hospitals and other commercial buildings.
Desso SoundMaster® offers an impact sound insulation value (∆Lw) up to +10 dB above the standard value, Desso SoundMaster® achieves an improvement in sound absorption performance up to +0.15 (αw) 10), equivalent to up to +100% improvement in comparison to standard carpet designs (αwvalue between 0.15 and 0.20)..
The SoundMaster® backing is a clear example of up-cycling with its 80% recycled content from used PET bottles.
Desso, a Tarkett company has a Product Stewardship Program in place. The products are collected at the end of life and sent to recycling facilities where the product is easily disassembled and recycled. The material is then used in the production of new carpet products or used in other recycling initiatives as a part of their ReStart program.
