The 2030 SDGs Game is played in-person (not online). It's a card-based game that brings people together to create a sustainable planet in 3.5 hours - simulating the 'real world' into the year 2030. It is a highly unique way of delivering a deeper understanding of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the heart of Agenda 2030 to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet.

While the goals define a pathway to the world that we want, the SDGs Game gives us a way to localise this global framework and mobilise.

It is a game experience that uncovers what lies underneath your decisions and actions. It is a brilliant tool to discover yourself and to see the possibilities of creating a sustainable planet.

ARE YOU READY TO PLAY?

Facilitator Delwyn Langdon, who is a passionate sustainability advocate and former head of the renowned Eco Centre at Griffith University, is one of only 3 specialists trained in Australia to deliver the 2030 SDGs Game, which was designed in Japan. She says it is an innovative, unique, and highly collaborative approach to real-world issues. The more diverse the game participants are, the more representative of the society it becomes.

"Participants often experience a shift in perspective with players finishing the game feeling excited, connected, and ready to take action. Players often ask, 'What can I do next to make a difference?

The game is great way to explore at a deeper level what the Sustainable Development Goals are and take this understanding back to your business, so you can more confidently start an SDG dialogue, make SDGs tangible and bring them into your strategic decision making.

The event is also a great way to meet new contacts and build stronger industry, business and community relationships.

The game session takes approximately 3.5 hours and includes instructions, playing time, reflection and discussion.

Price per head is $100 (inclusive GST) and cost includes light refreshments.

Gaming places are limited, so please register as soon as possible - and get ready to play! We can't wait to play with you!
