Global GreenTag International congratulates Autex Industries Ltd / Autex Pty Ltd this week for becoming the first manufacturer to have ALL of their Global GreenTag International Certified Products ready for the WELL™ Building Program at the highest level. Eleven Autex products now all carry a PlatinumHEALTH Global GreenTag PhD™ (Product Health Declaration™) ... an essential for entrance into future WELL™ building projects.

Autex specialises in the development and manufacture of innovative polyester insulation products.

Global GreenTag's PhD is the first health transparency tool in the world to assess the health impacts of the final product – and not just the hazards of the ingredients.

"It's a bold move for manufacturers to fully disclose with 100 percent transparency the toxicity information of their products but this is the privilege and edge that progressive manufacturers, who have pursued and improved ways to be more sustainable, now have in the green building market," says David Baggs.

For WELL, it was also an important factor when GreenTag applied for WELL recognition, as health is a core deliverable in the WELL equivalencies, says David, adding:

"We can now look forward to following where Global GreenTag Certified products with Product Health Declarations (PhDs) are used on WELL projects.  We are looking at a number of projects already on the horizon and with a PhD in hand, we are pleased that quite a few manufacturers now have the opportunity to step more easily into the rapidly expanding Australian WELL^TM market but also the USA and 30⁺ other countries where WELL^TM projects have a significant presence."

For products to qualify for a GreenTag PhD, they first need to be certified under the Global GreenTag International Standard v.4.0 and additional fees or charges may be required to upgrade products that are currently certified under Version 3.2 of the standard.
