Global GreenTag congratulates Green Building Initiative on the introduction of their Green Globes® 2019 Rating Standard

Global GreenTag International a member of the Green Building Initiative wishes to Congratulate GBI on the recent release of their 2019 version of the nationally recognized Green Globes® building green rating assessment, guidance and certification program which is used in a multitude of project types in the USA and Canada.

Global GreenTag Americas' CEO Daniel A. Huard who is a renowned green building authority who recently served as Chairperson for 'The Sustainability Summit' at the inaugural Chicago Build, says "We congratulate GBI's Executives and Board of Directors adding the ability to dynamically update their Green Globes standards, it is a very progressive step to strengthen the, ANSI recognized Green Globes 2019 version of their standard now expanding beyond the US and Canada into Mexico, Central America, Brazil and South America."

Mr Huard, himself a Green Globes Assessor, went on to state that he and the Global GreenTag International Certification Team are committed to contributing to the ongoing development of the Green Globes Standard Rating Tool(s) and respective frameworks. He said: "Green Globes has been well designed to provide a smart and efficient assessment pathway for new and existing projects to cost less to operate and be considerably more energy and water efficient with sustainability capabilities overall. We are very happy to be part of the solution of bringing greener and healthier buildings into the world."

Global GreenTag's certification programs are underpinned by science and ISO standards compliance ensuring global application and capability, that saw in 2018 the introduction and increased rigor of the GreenTag PHD™ (Product Health Declaration) to provide content inventory and hazard analysis to the 100ppm level, "a significant increase that equals the most stringent Product Disclosures in the world," says Mr Huard,  "a crucial part to see our certifications recognition expanding beyond the US and Canada into Mexico, Central America, Brazil and South America as well."  GreenTag certified products undergo some of the most stringent transparency certification and declaration processes in the world," he said.

Huard further provides that GreenTag's globally applicable 'HealthRATE™' program, which uniquely reports on human health impacts of products in use will gain prominence as Green Building Ratings systems look to incorporate greater wellness and human health concerns within their ratings systems.
