Global GreenTag invited to speak at Wood You Like to Know 2 online event – at end of May

Focusing on timber this month!

David Baggs of Global GreenTag International is speaking at Weathertex's Wood You Like to Know 2 Online Summit on 30 May 2024 – an event that is filled this year with a terrific line up of industry specialists focused on shaping the future of timber construction in the building industry.

It is now the third year of the Wood You Like to Know concept, which went online for the first time in 2023 and saw hundreds of attendees gather for a whole day of enriching discourse, valuable connections, and a deep dive into the latest trends and innovations in timber construction.

Attendees will be able to earn 15 CPD formal points before the end of the financial year, adding to their professional development portfolios.

For his part in the program, David Baggs, GreenTag's CEO, Technical Director & Co-founder will be delivering expert content on a panel discussion around the topic of Sustainable Construction Practices.

He said: "We want to help advocate the importance of pursuing quality materials and products and project design for the coming years and the event has a key role to play to address issues that the industry is facing."

With a housing shortfall of 477,000 in NSW, governments across Australia are pivoting to prefab and modular construction as a swift solution for social, affordable, and aged care housing needs. This method could revolutionise building practices, projecting 80% of building elements like walls and floors to be prefabricated in the next decade.

Weathertex was the first manufacturer to receive a Global GreenTag Product Health Declaration™ under the Global GreenTag CertTM program and achieve a Platinum Level HealthRATE™ for their Unprimed Flatsheets & Weatherboards. Their products have also been awarded with other robust certifications under Global GreenTag.
