Global GreenTag International is partnering again with AWRE (Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo) for 2024! The premier business trade event for the waste, recycling, and resource recovery sector, is back for its 15th year, taking place at the ICC in Sydney on 24-25 Jul. Global GreenTag, is excited to see what will unfold!
AWRE 2024 will serve as a forum for leaders and professionals in the waste and recycling industry to convene, showcase and discover the latest innovations, and collaborate on initiatives to reduce Australia's waste production and move toward a more circular future.
With inspiring talks from leading experts, including Suzanne Toumbouro , CEO of the Australian Council of Recycling, and Brett Lemin , Executive Director of Waste Contractors & Recyclers Association of NSW, the two-day live event helps form new connections and build strategies for a more sustainable and profitable economy.
Over the two days, speakers will also include David Baggs , Global GreenTag's CEO, Technical Director and Co-founder on Day 1.
David is participating on a panel discussion in the Built Environment Speaker Series: The Role Buildings Play in Australia's Circular Economy, which will be moderated by Alexandra Lomo Melian from NABERS.
Joining David on the panel will be Josh Begbie, CEO of GECA and Valentina Petrone, Associate Director - Australia Circular Economy Lead for WSP. Together, the panel will aim to draw out the case for:
- Designing for best outcomes in all areas – whether that's C&D, make good, or operational waste – and what that looks like in these different areas
- Connecting all actors in the chain – design and constructions, fit out, operations (cleaners, facilities managers and waste collection) and MRFs
- How all of this leads to better data, which directly impacts planning and outcomes
