Global GreenTag International is currently launching its USA operations with the formal in country launch at the GREENBUILD International Conference and Expo in Chicago (November 14-16) with a new globalgreentag.us website, Global GreenTag's array of advanced product certification services and machine automated global data hub presences.
The company is also currently deeply in talks regarding USA sales and marketing representation and is also reviewing expressions of interest from professionals in the North American market with experience in manufacturer focussed technical consulting and facilitation.
It is a perfect time for GreenTag to be opening in the US," says David Baggs, Global GreenTag's CEO and Program Director.
"We will be positioned at the GREENBUILD expo as part of the Mindful Materials Pavilion and will be taking an active role in a public workshop, teaming up with GIGA's innovative product data hub - ORIGIN.build to launch our full API enabled directory of certified green building materials and products on the platform for use by US and global built environment professionals and to work with ecomedes to officially launch the entrance of GreenTag certified products available in the US on ecomedes.com - the largest database of curated building product information needed for US Federal and State green building compliance.
Global GreenTag is already recognized in the US by the International WELL™ Building Standard and is compliant with the US Green Building Council's LEED® v4 building rating program. The USGBC and IWBI agreed 'WELL and LEED Crosswalk' document provides the guidance professionals need to understand the inter-relationships between these important rating tools and in effect, Global GreenTag as well.
"GreenTag has come a long way since launching Global GreenTag Certification just a few years ago," says David. "We were the first company in the world to introduce an LCA based product rating ecolabel scheme that today certifies nearly 2000 products for approximately 200 companies with factories in over 22 countries, many of which are USA manufactured or available." He then went on to comment "We are also the only 'One-Stop' rating system globally for the major green building rating tools including WELL, LEED and Green Star".
For the US market, GreenTag shall be introducing some new services. The Global GreenTag Product Health Declaration (PhD) that uniquely rates the healthiness of products in use with an 'In-use healthiness' HealthRATE™ Mark. Additionally, Global GreenTag's EN 15804 compliant Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Program will also be launched to additionally give US made products a CarbonRATE™ Mark."
"We look forward to engaging more deeply with leaders in the sustainability field and contributing to the trajectory of greening the US and world-wide built environment," said David.
"The strength of Global GreenTag has always been its deep, multi-attribute, scientifically robust technical basis, which is embedded in world leading research and green design. We have been described by product manufacturers in a number of countries as having the most meaningful sustainability scorecard in the world, and our Standard demands that product claims be proven beyond any doubt, and that's very important to us. Which is why our Standard continues to evolve, to meet the needs of progressive manufacturers developing new benchmarks in green product design, both significantly healthier and beyond business as usual products." He said.
